GUIDELINES WHEN POSTING IN IMAGE SECTIONS

1-- Proper Thread Name

• Make a sensible and relevant title to your releases, It makes a SEARCH much easier. Please Avoid Use Of Explicit Words And Symbols Of Adult Nature In Your Titles, We Have Ladies Visiting Image Section Too.

2-- Hotlinking

• Do NOT Hot Link Your Images To The Source Website. It Is Illegal And Ethically Not Right.
  

  • What is hotlinking and bandwidth theft?
    Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a web site's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an <img> tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, eBay auction listing, weblog, forum message post, etc.
    
    Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred from a web site to a user's computer. When you view a web page, you are using that site's bandwidth to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over its monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.
    
    A simple analogy for bandwidth theft: Imagine a random stranger plugging into your electrical outlets, using your electricity without your consent, and you paying for it. (atlab.com)

• Do NOT Use The Following Services:

  • and other hosting service (unless approved by the DBB admin)
  • and do NOT use any income generating links etc

4-- Hi Resolution Images

• Only Post Hi Res Images In Its Appropriate Sections.
  
  All Images More Than 1000 Pixels In Width MUST Be Posted As Thumbnails.
  Users With Dial-Up Or Low Bandwidth Would Be Waiting For Hours Before Hi Res Images Would Load. Post In Thumbnails And Allow Users To View Only What They Want.
  
  You May Post A Smaller Sized Version Of The Hi Res Image That Opens The Actual Hi Res Image When It Is Clicked (Maximum Width Size is 700 px)

5-- Watermarks & Advertising

• Images With Other Desi Forum/Blogs etc Are Considered Advertising And Is Strictly Against DesiBBrG Site Rules. Such A Thread Which Has Any Watermark Of A Desi Forum/Blog Would Be Removed Immediately. If Unsure About A Certain Watermarked Image, Contact A Moderator To Discuss This.
  
  Advertising Is A Serious Offence And Would Lead To Strict Penalties & Permanent Ban If Necessary.

6-- Torrent Files

• If There Is A Set Of Pictures That You Want To Upload... Do Not Make A Torrent For Files Less Than 10 MB. For Anything Less Than 10 MB, Use The DBB Hostinig Service To Host Your File. However, Try To Avoid Posting Torrents In Image Sections.

7-- Content

• Only Non-****s Are Allowed In Regular image Section. Images Of Adult Nature MUST Be Posted In Kameena Pics Section Only.

8-- Reposts

• Always SEARCH for the file you want to release to make sure you dont end up reposting. Reposts will be deleted without notice.

Continuous violation will result in user getting warning points.
